FAQs
Cold Pressed Juice
Q. What does cold pressed mean? What does cold pressure processing mean?
Our juices are created using a two-step juicer with a separate grinder and cold press. This two-step process is what makes juices cold-pressed. The cold pressure process, also known as High Pressure Processing (HPP) or pascalization, involves the use of high pressure to preserve packaged food and beverages. Cold pressing and cold pressuring ensures the elimination of harmful bacteria while retaining a higher amount of the natural vitamins, minerals and enzymes, allowing our juices to preserve their fresh and natural taste longer.

Q. Are Living juices kosher?

Q. What’s the environmental impact?
We try to keep a low carbon footprint through our locally sourced (when possible) and 100% organic fruits and vegetables. Everything we use is organic, meaning that the fruits and vegetables come from farms free of pesticides and herbicides. We also use PETE 1 plastic bottles, which are made of the most recyclable plastic, and are BPA free!
Q. Where are Living juices produced?
Living Juice now produces its juices in Connecticut, with the plant using locally sourced produce when possible to create the best cold-pressed juice. Living Juice has always wanted to provide everyone access to this never-watered down, no sugar added, delicious juice experience. Now, with our production facility in Southern California, that dream is becoming a reality.
Q. Why does the juice separate?
Due to the differing densities of fruits and vegetables, they naturally separate when juiced. Only juices with artificial additives and/or preservatives won’t separate, so shake it up and enjoy a natural and organic treat!
Q. How should I store my juice? How long can I store it?
Keep it refrigerated until you’re ready to drink it. All juices have an expiration date set to 30 days after production to ensure they remain as fresh as possible. We recommend that you drink your juice within 3-4 days of opening, but we bet you’ll finish it faster than that!
Q. Why is there sugar in these drinks?
Sugar occurs naturally in high amounts in fruits and vegetables. As we never add any sugar or artificial sweeteners to our juices and drinks, all of the sugar is naturally occurring from the fruits and veggies that go into our drinks.

Yes, it is very common to feel some hunger in the beginning of a juice cleanse or fast. This feeling of hunger should pass, as your body becomes acclimated to solely liquids. However, if at any point you feel as though the juice is not enough, we offer a variety of raw, live vegan foods that can be consumed during a cleanse.
Q. What are the benefits of a juice cleanse?

Q. How can I maximize the benefits of my cleanse?
We recommend that two to three days prior to beginning a juice cleanse, you eliminate dairy, flour, caffeine, sugar, meat and alcohol from your diet. This will prepare your body to intake the vitamins, minerals and live enzymes from the juice. Throughout the cleanse, you should begin your day with 8 oz of purified water, with lemon or lime if you like. You should drink the juices in the appropriate order starting between 8 - 10 am with about 2 - 3 hours in between each juice. After your cleanse, we suggest you eat clean for as long as you can.
